Youth Compact 2024 – Age 9-13:

1. All kids must have a Parent/Guardian sign the waiver and must have a Parent/Guardian riding shotgun.
2. Driver & Rider must wear a helmet, jeans, long-sleeve shirt & sturdy shoes. NO EXCEPTIONS!
3. Must be a 4 or 6-cylinder front-wheel drive vehicle.
4. Cars must be stripped of all interior and glass (the dash may stay).
5. Plastic bumpers must be removed; all airbags must be removed, not just unhooked.
6. Must have working seat belts; if a booster seat is used, it must be secured to the seat itself using a ratchet strap.
7. You can extend the pedals for easier reach if the kid needs help reaching them.
8. Tires must be DOT approved; no skids or forklift tires.
9. Wheels must be stock; no built wheels.
10. Battery must be inside the cab and properly secured.
11. Exhaust must be under the car and no further back than the front seats.
12. Fuel tank must stay in the factory location if it’s in front of the rear axle; if it’s behind the axle, it must be moved inside the car.
13. A fuel cell can be used, must be properly mounted and secured; all fuel lines must remain under the car, no exceptions.
14. Fuel line leaves the tank and goes straight down and under the car; must use proper high-pressure fuel line.
15. Bumpers: No bumper allowed other than the factory to the car (must be metal).
16. 3x3x3/16 piece of tubing – no capping the ends, adding points, or a rear vic bumper insert may be used; no other bumpers will be allowed.
17. Cage must have at least a four-point cage and must be at least 2 inches in diameter but not to exceed 6 inches in diameter; no down tubes are to be attached to the floor; it can have a Halo that attaches to the sidebars only.
18. Hood must remain on the hinges and can be secured in two places using 9 wire or 3/8 chain; must have two windshield bars and must have at least an 8-inch hole for fire extinguishing.
19. Doors: Driver’s door can be welded 5 inches on, 5 inches off. All other doors can be welded 8 inches total or 6 places of nine wire or 3/8 chain.
20. Trunk can tuck 50% of the lid and/or fasten in 4 places with 9 wire or 3/8 chain.
21. This is basically a gut and go build with the exceptions of the rules above. No bolt ends, no headers, no aftermarket shifters, no aftermarket pedals, and no aftermarket steering.
